Two juveniles are arrested for drugs in New JerseyTwo juveniles were arrested Wednesday by New Jersey state police after being found with marijuana and crack cocaine.
Initially, New Jersey troopers responded to King Drive at around 1 p.m. for a report of shots being fired in the area, according to Sgt. Kevin Rehmann, spokesman for the New Jersey State Police.
Several witnesses told the troopers that shots were fired from outside a home on King Drive and that a black sports utility vehicle was seen leaving the area.
The 16- and 17-year-old boys, whose names were not released, were seen a few doors down from the scene.
New Jersey police took them into custody to question them about the alleged shooting, according to Rehmann, but were not charged with it.
"We don't know if they were linked to the shooting," Rehmann said.
They were charged with possession of less than 50 grams of marijuana and possession of less than 10 grams of crack cocaine.
They were both transported to the Cumberland County Juvenile Detention Center.
No weapon had been recovered as of Thursday evening and the investigation remained ongoing. Drug Rehab by County
