2 men are nabbed on heroin charges in New JerseyUndercover Jersey City, New Jersey police officers conducting surveillance for drug activity arrested two men on Saturday, catching one of them moments after he allegedly snorted a bag of heroin, according to New Jersey police reports.
New Jersey police arrested Carlos Tan, 26, of Catherine Street in Jersey City, at Winfield and Garfield avenues at 9:11 a.m. and charged him with drug possession, possession with intent to distribute and possession with intent to distribute near a school, according to New Jersey police reports.
Also arrested was Michael Metro, 36, of Ferry Court in Bayonne, New Jersey and he was charged with possession of heroin. Tan was also charged with hindering apprehension after giving police a fake name, reports said.
New Jersey police doing surveillance at Ocean and Neptune avenues watched as Metro walked up to Tan and handed him money in exchange for a small white object, police said. Tan walked away, but police closed in on him when they saw him raise the package to his nose, reports said, adding that the bag was empty when police recovered it.
When Tan was arrested he was found with three packets of suspected heroin, reports said. Drug Rehab by County
