The common side effects of Demerol are similar to other narcotics, impairment of performance. Driving or operating heavy machinery is unwise, as Demerol can interfere with mental and physical abilities. Common Demerol side effects: are constipation, dizziness, dry mouth, headache, itching, nausea, sedation, sweating, vomiting, or weakness.
